"I don't know what I enjoyed most, the food or Curtis himself. The ribs
and chicken were the best Ive ever tasted. I wish I could have eaten
more. But the main attraction was the charming gentlemen tending the
pit and his supervisor the pig."
DID YOU HEAR WHAT
THEY SAID ABOUT
US?
"Curtis offers spicy and mild sauce to go;
and while the sauce is good, it's the ribs
and chicken that we want to take with
us when we leave."

Man, those of you who didn't
go to Curtis' don't know what
you missed. If you haven't
heard of the 9th wonder of the
world let me fill you in. Curtis
Tuff has two blue school buses
in Putney, VT that he uses to
run his BBQ stand where he
makes the best damn ribs I've
ever had. They're amazing!!
Last Friday, Lisa, Marty, Kate,
Nam, Val, and I all drove
down to Curtis' after practice
and had ourselves some meat. I
ate an entire rack all by
myself, and Nam ate almost as
much as I did. Then we had
corn muffins that where
packed with buttery goodness
and home made root beer. I'd
been excited about it all week
and it was worth the wait. Its
too bad that we didn't have a
camera because I had that
tasty BBQ sauce all over my
face. Yum!

The ribs are big and filling, and eating
them with proper abandon requires a
number of moist towelettes afterward.

The meat just fell off the bone and the
barbecue sauce was delicious!

What a find! Ribs are my
favorites - and to find a REAL
BBQ place in Vermont was a
gift from God. Really great
ribs - I always skip the sides to
make more room for the ribs -
and I love the atmosphere -
just like home - GA

Most ribs have a sweet,
sugary sauce like out of a
bottle from the supermarket.
Not Curtis'!! First his ribs are
cooked over a hardwood fire
for a great smoky taste and
his sauce is to die for!! Tangy
and hot, and thats the mild!!
Go for it. You'll love it!!

"Like robins and daffodils, smoke drifting in the air near
Putney, VT is a sure sign of spring. Hands down the best BBQ
this side of Kansas City. An superb adventure and a welcome
change from the standard, namby-pamby New England dining
experience. "
